'FACTS'

  • Nuclear and Radiological preparedness and response is the contingency planning that we have in place in case of a radiological or nuclear accidents or incident that could cause radioactive contamination and exposure to radiation.

  • Nuclear and radiological preparedness and response in Norway is organised around the Crisis Committee for Nuclear Preparedness. 

  • The Crisis Committee is responsible for and authorised to decide and effectuate measures to reduce the impact of a nuclear accident. 

  • DSA is a national and international notification point for all types of radiological and nuclear event.

  • If a nuclear accident affects you, there are various steps you can take to protect yourself.
