'FACTS'

  • Radon is an invisible and odourless radioactive gas.

  • Radon increases the risk of lung cancer.

  • You need to take measurements to find out whether there is radon in your home. 

  • If you have measured radon levels above 100 Bq/m³, you should take steps to reduce the levels.

  • The radon level should not exceed the limit value of 200 Bq/m3.

  • The Radiation Protection Regulations lay down limits on radon in rental accommodation, schools and kindergartens.
