Enhancing Nordic cooperation in Nuclear and Radiation Safety.
This report is the outcome of the Nordic Strategy Groups work. The working group has 13
recommendations to further develop Nordic radiation and nuclear safety cooperation.

This report analyses the current nuclear and radiation threats to safety and security in Ukraine from a regulatory perspective and identifies main challenges, threats and gaps in the Ukrainian regulatory framework within the responsibility of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

This report emphasizes that the effective dose is not a measure of risk, but a tool used in radiation protection work to monitor compliance with dose limits or dose constraints when radiation exposure comes from different sources.

During a nuclear or radiological emergency protective actions are implemented to reduce actual or potential exposure to radiation for workers and the public. In these Nordic guidelines, the radiation protection and nuclear safety authorities in the Nordic countries present a common view on how the internationally accepted radiation protection principles should be applied during a nuclear or radiological emergency, within the framework of national regulations.

The aim of this document has been to make an overview of radon management and have a closer look at the similarities and differences between the Nordic countries in this matter.
